Chris Blais, Owner/General Manager
Chris was destined to be in the food and beverage industry. His outgoing personality, high level of energy and his passion for food and entertainment makes him a natural as Owner and General Manager of Maxwell’s. Whether he’s collaborating with the Chef on the daily special, training a new team member, conversing with team members on an upcoming event, or assisting a customer in arranging a special celebration, Chris’ business sense and personal touch are evident.

A native of the Ottawa area, Chris worked at a number of highly respected establishments including Rideau Carlton Raceway where he was Director of Food and Beverage Operations. In this establishment Chris worked closely with the AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) and obtained the required AGCO licenses. That knowledge of AGCO regulations became a key asset when Chris returned to Maxwell’s, and became Owner and General Manager. With over 24 years of industry knowledge, 14 of which has been at Maxwell’s, Chris is very familiar with the customers, and runs a highly energetic team of individuals with a key focus on customer service. Additionally Chris is a well respected member of the Ottawa Restaurant community, and has been a strong supporter of several community and charity events.

Rob Hill, Manager
Rob Hill, Manager of Maxwell’s, has returned to his roots, where his career in the industry began over 20 years ago; Elgin Street. Throughout the years Rob has worked in a variety of well known establishments in the primary dining and entertainment areas of Ottawa. From the early days on Elgin Street, Rob continued to expand his knowledge and expertise focused on customer service while working at various pubs, restaurants and nightclubs in Ottawa including On Tap/York Entertainment, the Royal Oak, and The Moroccan Village and assisted in the start up of the Barley Mow Barrhaven.

In 2006, Rob joined the team at Maxwells and with his outstanding level of dining and entertainment industry experience, Rob immediately embraced his new role. As Manager of Maxwell’s, Rob is responsible for the staff relations of our team of 65 members, directing our food and beverage promotions, and the operation of our dining and night club. In addition, Rob is our resident party planner. He will work with you directly to ensure your private celebration meets your needs and will do so with a high level of diplomacy and professionalism. Rob looks forward to welcoming past, present and a new customer to Maxwell’s to experience the high level of service he and his team delivers.

Candice Webster, Assistant Manager
Starting off as a waitress at a small diner in the west end of Ottawa in 2006, Candice has quickly climbed the ladder in the restaurant industry. For over 2 years at Fil’s Diner and O’Connell’s Pub, she moved her way from waitress into management and in May 2008, she joined Maxwell’s as our Night Manager. She immediately fell in love Maxwell’s and its family of amazing staff. Within three months into the job, she was offered a year of study in the arts in Toronto. There she studied graphic arts at George Brown College where she began her photographic career and became an accomplished portrait artist.

In August 2009, she returned to Ottawa to further her studies at the School of Photographic Arts; but she could not resist and returned to the crew at Maxwell’s. With her heart and soul in the service industry, she knows that Maxwell’s has the atmosphere where she can best articulate her passions.
